Choosing your mat
Should I get the exercise mat or the yoga mat?
Will you wear shoes? Choose the exercise mat. Barefoot? Choose the yoga mat. Both come in large sizes, up to 8x the size of a standard yoga mat.
Exercise mat
Shoes on.
1/4″ (6mm) thick (the 7′ × 4′ is 8mm), with a high-density surface built for shoes, weights and high-impact training: HIIT, jump rope, plyometrics, kettlebells.
Shop exercise mats
Yoga mat
Barefoot.
8mm thick, with a softer surface and a sticky grip for bare feet: yoga, pilates, stretching, meditation, foam rolling and light bodyweight exercises.
Shop yoga matsBoth are non-slip on both sides (a grippy top, and a bottom that keeps the mat from moving around), and both are backed by our 100% satisfaction guarantee (60-day returns from delivery) and our lifetime warranty.
What size should I get?
Measure your floor first, then go as big as it allows: most customers wish they had chosen the bigger size. Exercise mats come in 8 sizes, from 6′ × 4′ to 15′ × 6′. Yoga mats come in 5: 6′ × 4′, 7′ × 5′, 9′ × 6′, 12′ × 6′ and 15′ × 6′.
- 6′ × 4′: our best seller. Apartments, small spaces, single-person workouts.
- 7′ × 4′ or 7′ × 5′: fits most living rooms and spare bedrooms.
- 8′ × 4′ or 9′ × 6′: dedicated workout spaces, lateral movements, partner stretching.
- 10′ × 4′ to 15′ × 6′: full home gyms, garage gyms, partner workouts, studios.
Working out with a partner? Start at 9′ × 6′, or 12′ × 6′ for side-by-side cardio. Our mats lie flat and don’t need extra room around the edges.

I’m tall. Which size should I get?
Choose a mat at least 1 foot longer than your height. Up to 6′ tall, a 7′ mat gives you room at both ends: the 7′ × 4′ or 7′ × 5′ exercise mat, or the 7′ × 5′ yoga mat. Over 6′, choose the 9′ × 6′ yoga mat, or an 8′ × 4′, 9′ × 6′ or 10′ × 4′ exercise mat. Even our smallest mat, the 6′ × 4′, is longer than a standard 68 × 24 in yoga mat and twice as wide.
Can I wear shoes on the mat?
Exercise mats: yes. They’re built for shoes. The high-density surface handles athletic shoes, cross-trainers, weights and high-impact training, from HIIT to jump rope.
Yoga mats: no. They’re designed for bare feet. Shoes, weights and heavy equipment can damage the softer grip surface and aren’t covered by the warranty.
How thick are the mats?
Exercise mats are 1/4″ (6mm) thick, and the 7′ × 4′ is 8mm: firm and stable for shoes, jumping and weights. Yoga mats are 8mm thick, with a softer surface for bare feet. For kneeling poses and floor work, choose the yoga mat.
Using it at home
Can I put a treadmill, exercise bike or weight bench on the mat?
Yes. Our exercise mats go under treadmills, ellipticals, exercise bikes, rowers, weight benches and squat racks, and under walking pads, vibration plates and mini trampolines. They add cushion, protect your floor and reduce vibration and noise.
For an exercise bike, a 6′ × 4′ is enough. For a treadmill or elliptical, measure the machine and choose a mat that covers it, usually 8′ × 4′ or 9′ × 6′. For a rack, a bench and open floor, choose 12′ × 6′ or 15′ × 6′. Very heavy equipment may leave an imprint over time. Keep equipment off the yoga mats.
Can I use it as home gym flooring in a garage or basement?
Yes. Our exercise mats lie flat on concrete and turn a garage or basement into a home gym floor you can wear shoes on: cushioned, non-slip on both sides, and one piece, with no tiles to fit together. For jump rope alone, a 6′ × 4′ is enough; for a full garage gym, choose 9′ × 6′ to 15′ × 6′. Keep it out of direct sun, and roll it up if your garage takes on weather.
Is the mat thick enough for high-impact workouts?
Yes. Our exercise mats are 1/4″ (6mm) thick, and the 7′ × 4′ is 8mm: the sweet spot for cushioning without losing stability on hardwood, tile and concrete. They protect your joints, and many customers use them daily for jump rope, plyometrics, burpees and HIIT.
Does the mat help reduce noise?
Yes. The dense surface absorbs shock and reduces vibration. It makes a real difference for jumping, dancing and cardio, especially on hard floors, in apartments and in upstairs rooms.
Will the mat slide on my floor?
No. Lay it logo side up, dot pattern down, and it lies flat right away. The top is grippy, not slippery, and the dots on the bottom hold on hardwood, tile, laminate, vinyl and low-pile carpet. On thick or plush carpet, the mat may shift slightly during very intense moves.
Underside grip
Can I use the mat on carpet?
Yes. Our mats work on any flat floor: hardwood, laminate, tile, vinyl, concrete and carpet. On low-pile carpet the grip holds well, and the mat’s weight keeps it flat and in place. On thicker carpet the mat gives you a stable, flat surface but may shift slightly during intense workouts. Rug anchors can help lock it down.
On carpet
Can I place two or more mats together?
Yes. Many customers buy more than one mat to make a larger workout area. The weight of the mats and the grip on the bottom usually keep them in place. For extra hold, mat seam tape works well.
Why is my new mat a little slippery?
A brand-new mat can feel slightly slippery at first. This is normal and gets better quickly with use. To speed up the break-in, wipe the surface with a little mild dish soap and warm water, or lay it out in a busy spot for a week or two.
Care and storage
How do I clean my mat?
After each workout: wipe it down with a damp cloth.
Deeper cleaning: mix a few drops of mild dish soap into warm water. Scrub the surface gently with a soft cloth or brush, wipe clean and air dry out of direct sun. Make sure both sides are completely dry before rolling it up.
Avoid: bleach, Clorox wipes, harsh chemicals and abrasive scrubbers. They can wear down the surface over time.
What comes with the mat?
Every mat comes with a microfiber towel, two straps and a carry bag. Roll it up tight, strap it, and store it in a closet, under a bed or against a wall.
How heavy is the mat?
From 8 lbs for the 6′ × 4′ yoga mat to 50 lbs for the 15′ × 6′ exercise mat. Every size, by line:
| Size | Exercise mat | Yoga mat |
|---|---|---|
| 6′ × 4′ | 14 lbs | 8 lbs |
| 7′ × 4′ | 16 lbs | Not made in this size |
| 7′ × 5′ | 20 lbs | 11 lbs |
| 8′ × 4′ | 18 lbs | Not made in this size |
| 9′ × 6′ | 30 lbs | 17 lbs |
| 10′ × 4′ | 23 lbs | Not made in this size |
| 12′ × 6′ | 40 lbs | 24 lbs |
| 15′ × 6′ | 50 lbs | 30 lbs |
Do you sell straps, towels or carry bags on their own?
Sorry, these only come with the mats. We don’t sell them separately.
