How thick is it? Will my knees feel the floor?
8mm (5/16 inch) in every size. There's enough cushion for your knees and joints on hardwood, tile or concrete, and the mat still feels stable under you when you balance.
What size yoga mat do I need?
Our yoga mats are up to 8x the size of a standard yoga mat, in five sizes. The 6′ × 4′ fits an apartment and a solo practice. The 7′ × 5′ gives you a living room spot for wide flows and fits yogis up to 6 ft tall. Pick the 9′ × 6′ for partner yoga or if you're over 6 ft. The 12′ × 6′ makes a full home studio with room for two, and the 15′ × 6′ covers a whole room for the family or a small group. For more room, lay two mats side by side: their weight and the dot pattern usually hold them together, and mat tape keeps the seam closed.

Will my hands and feet slip?
No. The top is grippy, so your hands and feet stay where you put them, hot yoga included. If you sweat a lot, lay the microfiber towel that comes with the mat over the top for extra grip.
Which side goes up, and will it slide on my floor?
Logo side up, dot pattern down. Unroll it that way and it lies flat right away. The dots grip the floor, so the mat stays put on hardwood, tile, laminate, vinyl, concrete and carpet. On thick, plush carpet, rug anchors lock it down.
Can I wear shoes on it, or use it outside?
Keep this one indoors, in bare feet or socks. Shoes wear down the grippy top. For sneakers, weights or a workout on the patio, get our exercise mat. The yoga mat is fine under a vibration plate or a mini trampoline.
How heavy is it, and how do I store it?
From 8 lbs for the 6′ × 4′ to 30 lbs for the 15′ × 6′ (7′ × 5′ is 11 lbs, 9′ × 6′ is 17 lbs, 12′ × 6′ is 24 lbs). Roll it up, fasten the two straps and slide it into the carry bag. It stands in a closet or a corner, or fits under a bed.
What comes with the mat, and how do I clean it?
Every mat comes with a microfiber towel, a carry bag and two straps. Wipe it down with the towel after practice. A vacuum is fine for dust and crumbs. For a deeper clean, use a few drops of mild dish soap in warm water and a soft brush, then let it air-dry until both sides are dry before you roll it up. Skip bleach and harsh cleaners.
